The New Jerusalem and the Vineyard

Jesus uses a vineyard as a metaphor to describe the New Jerusalem and eternity. St. Augustine said that, for the workers in the parable, they all received the same pay because eternity is incapable of being subdivided. So what is the eternal City of God?
